Tinubu Accuses Opposition of Offering Nigerians Hate Instead of Solutions

President Bola Tinubu has accused opposition parties of offering Nigerians hate instead of solutions to the country’s challenges, urging voters to reject what he described as divisive campaign messages.

Tinubu made the remarks on Saturday at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off rally in Kaduna, where he defended his administration’s efforts to tackle hunger and poverty and called on Nigerians to support his second-term ambition.

The President challenged opposition parties over their criticism of his administration, arguing that they were angry because they could not present Nigerians with a better alternative.

“Our opponents are angry because they are playing you. They have nothing to offer you but hate. We have prosperity, consistency, growth, recovery, and opportunity. I assure you,” Tinubu said.

Tinubu Defends Government’s Efforts to Tackle Hunger and Poverty

The President also responded to opposition criticism of hunger and poverty in the country, blaming previous political actors for creating the challenges his administration says it is working to address.

“I hear my opponent talking about hunger, poverty. Who created it? They did. They created hunger. They created poverty. We are trying to eradicate it,” he said.

Tinubu’s comments came amid political debate over the country’s economic challenges and the government’s response to the rising cost of living and hardship affecting many Nigerians.

The President maintained that his administration was committed to addressing these challenges and delivering economic recovery, growth and greater opportunities for citizens.

Tinubu Warns Nigerians Against Opposition Campaign Messages

Tinubu urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and avoid being misled by opposition campaign messages as the country approaches the next general election.

“Be careful. Watch them. Don’t let them lie to you,” he told supporters at the rally.

The President’s remarks underscored the APC’s appeal for public support as political parties seek to persuade voters of their respective plans for the country’s future.

President Seeks Support for APC Candidates at All Levels

Tinubu also called on Nigerians to support APC candidates across all levels of government, including the presidency, governorships, the National Assembly and state Houses of Assembly.

He said his administration remained committed to promoting prosperity and progress, urging voters to back the party’s candidates in the next general election.

The President thanked residents of Kaduna for their large turnout at the rally and reiterated his promise of a better future under his leadership.

His address focused on defending the administration’s record, challenging opposition criticism and encouraging voters to support the APC as the next election approaches.
