Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, disclosed that contractual obligations prevented her from returning to Nigeria to attend the funeral of her longtime colleague and friend.
The veteran actress, who is currently in Ghana, expressed sadness over her inability to be physically present to pay her final respects to the late Nollywood legend.

“I would give anything to be there right now, but contractual obligations will not allow me to. My heart and thoughts are with you all.
“I pray everything goes peacefully and that his remarkable legacy lives on. Though I may not be there in person, please know that I am with you all in spirit.
“Rest well, great legend. Your legacy will forever remain. Go well, great legend. Ga nke Oma. Until we meet to part no more.”

Despite her absence from the funeral, the actress reaffirmed her emotional connection to the late screen icon, expressing hope that his legacy would continue to inspire generations of actors and filmmakers.
Olu Jacobs’ burial brought together family members, friends, colleagues and prominent personalities from the entertainment industry to celebrate his life and lasting impact on Nigerian cinema.
